Dr Rachel Hiller is a clinical psychologist and lecturer (assistant professor) at the University of Bath, UK. Rachel’s research examines social, cognitive and behavioural processes that link the experience of child trauma or maltreatment to psychological outcomes, with a focus on posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Her work is particularly focused on higher risk groups, including young people within the foster care system. Her research also explores barriers and facilitators to evidence-based psychological treatments for young people, and the testing of feasible and scalable interventions within social-care and mental health services. Rachel is the current chair of the annual meeting organising committee for the international society for traumatic stress studies.
